John founded Healthy Home Healthy Planet in 2016, inspired by his daughter Samantha’s cartoon ‘My Inheritance’, to help empower people to reduce carbon emissions. Trained as an architect and focused on sustainability his entire career, John has been searching for answers to one central question: How to inspire people to care enough to take climate action? He has pursued multiple approaches, leading the US EPA’s Energy Star Homes program in New England, advising the State of Massachusetts on energy and climate policy, founding the local climate action organization, Sustainable Marblehead, and creating the first net positive energy renovated home in Massachusetts – one of the first in the US.

 

John leads Healthy Home Healthy Planet’s flagship project, The Moviement, combining a narrative feature film with a collective action movement to create an unstoppable wave of people-powered climate action.
